Met with Senator Deb Fischer and Congressman Adrian Smith; and Staffs of Senator Ben Sasse and Congressmen Fortenberry & Bacon to request support for the “Opioids and STOP Pain Initiative Act of 2017.” Part of unified effort between medical professionals and policy advocates that lead to $250,000,000 appropriated for “research related to opioid addiction, development of opioid alternatives, pain management” in Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2018.
